The design of Par 5 #14 uses the natural topography of the land to entice the player to go for broke and at the same time teaches the player patience.  From the tee box players need to hit an accurate tee shot between groves of trees on each side of the fairway. With a long and accurate tee shot, longer hitters will have a chance to go for the green in two. Most players will lay up to the bottom of the hill, short of a creek, leaving a third shot to an elevated, two-tiered green. Depending upon where the hole is cut, players can face some very challenging putts on the undulating green. Birdies on #5 are great but pars always feel good.
